Rams’ Coast Conference championship streak at 15, CCSF gets top seed for Northern California playoffs
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONALS BRACKET
No. 1 state-ranked City College of San Francisco closed out the regular season with a convincing 82-63 victory over No. 6-ranked Las Positas College on Friday. The win secured the program's 15th straight Coast Conference championship.
The defending state champion Rams now head to the postseason with a state-best 27-1 overall record after compiling a perfect 14-0 mark in the final Coast Conference North Division standings. On Sunday, the Rams were named the No. 1 seed for the upcoming 3C2A Northern California Regional Playoffs.
CCSF received a bye in the opening round and will host the winner of No. 16 Foothill College and No. 17 Butte College in a second-round game on Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 pm. The contest will be a part of a playoff doubleheader as the Rams women's basketball team is also set to host a second-round game at 5:00 p.m.
Ticket prices for the 3C2A postseason game at Brad Duggan Court at the Wellness Center are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old. CCSF heads into the playoffs riding a 16-game winning streak and is a perfect 11-0 at home this season.
The Rams are looking to capture back-to-back state titles and have won six in the program's history (1962, 2011, 2016, 2018, 2022, 2025), including a record five state championships by head coach Justin Labagh.
No. 16 Foothill compiled an 18-10 overall record and was fourth in the Coast Conference South Division at 6-6. No. 17 Butte is 13-15 and finished third in the final Golden Valley Conference standings at 5-5.
CCSF handled Butte 105-63 in the 2025-26 season opener at home and has not faced Foothill yet this season.
Two wins are needed by the Rams to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on March 13-15 at College of the Sequoias in Visalia.
