Coast Conference gets top two seeds for NorCal Playoffs, sends four teams to postseason; All-Coast Conference awards announced
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONALS BRACKET
The Coast Conference will once again be well-represented in the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs that run May 1-3.
Coast Conference squads have secured the top two seeds for the tournament, highlighted by defending state champion College of San Mateo earning the No. 1 spot with West Valley College tabbed in the No. 2 position.
No. 1 CSM leads the region with an impressive 37-1 overall record this season and captured the Coast Conference championship for the 11th time over the past 13 seasons with a 13-1 mark.
San Mateo hosts No. 16 Lassen College in a best of three-game series that starts on Friday.
No. 2 West Valley finished second in the Coast Conference at 11-3 and takes a 35-4 overall record into the postseason. The Vikings host No. 15 Sacramento City College in its opening-round series.
Joining those two squads are Hartnell College at the No. 5 seed and Cabrillo College in the No. 7 spot. Hartnell (30-9) hosts No. 12 Folsom Lake College while Cabrillo (30-10) faces No. 10 Cosumnes River at home.
2026 ALL-COAST CONFERENCE POSTSEASON AWARDS
Coast Conference champion College of San Mateo swept the conference's top awards. Sophomore pitcher/designated player Nia Mapa was named the Coast Conference Player of the Year while sophomore Lola Sierra was selected Pitcher of the Year. And Nicole Quigley-Borg took home Coach of the Year honors.
